Dr. George P. Papacostas
George P. Papacostas, MD is a Board Eligible Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in trauma, arthroscopic surgery, total joint replacement, and foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Papacostas earned his Medical Degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University Hospital in Cincinnati and completed a fellowship in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery from the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati.
While completing his studies, Dr. Papacostas was awarded the Freiberg First Prize Award in 2000, 2001, and 2002. He was honored with the Gate Pharmaceutical Award and the Louis W. Rauh Award. Additionally, he received several scholarships and participated in research.
Dr. Papacostas is a national medical presenter and has authored a book chapter about Orthopaedic Emergencies in the Mont Reid Surgical Handbook.
Dr. Papacostas is active in his community as a football team physician and former Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America. He has served as a ringside physician for the United States Boxing Association. Dr. Papacostas enjoys spending time with his wife and family activities.
