Dr. Mark E. Coggins
Mark E. Coggins, MD is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with extensive training in spine conditions. Dr. Coggins earned his Medical Degree from the Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, WV. He completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse. Dr. Coggins completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the Carolinas Medical Center.
Dr. Coggins was bestowed numerous prestigious awards from the Marshall University School of Medicine including the Upjohn Achievement Award for the Outstanding Graduate Student, the Bertha and Lake Polan Award for Academic Excellence, the Award for Excellence in Infectious Disease Research, the Year III Achievement Award, the Year II Achievement Award, The Undergraduate Award for the Outstanding Sophomore Chemist, and the Allied Chemical Award for the Outstanding Sophomore Chemist. He was granted a Tuition Waiver Scholarship from the Marshall University School of Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Coggins was on the Dean’s List and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society.
Dr. Coggins is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, the American Medical Association, the Ohio State Medical Association, the Stark County Medical Society, and the Ohio Orthopaedic Society.
Dr. Coggins’ spine research is published in peer reviewed medical journals.
Dr. Coggins enjoys playing golf and tennis.
