Andrew J. Razzano, DO

Andrew J. Razzano, DO, graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology with a Pre Medical Major. While at Ohio University he preformed research in aging, growth hormone, obesity, and diabetes under Dr. John Kopchick (Goll Oh Emin Scholar). During this time he was awarded the Rush Elliot Award and Scholarship for academically outstanding senior, the Outstanding Biomedical Science Award for superior performance in basic science studies and research, and was named an AMVETS Scholar for his research in veterans' diabetes. He was chosen his senior year to participate in the SURF (Summer Undergraduate Research) program at Ohio University's College of Osteopaths' Medicine where he was involved in growth hormone proteomics. Dr. Razzano earned his degree in Osteopathic Medicine from the Ohio University College of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgical residency at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon, Ohio. During his residency, he preformed research on Indirect MR Arthrography for detecting labral pathology in a young patient population. He has presented his research at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, MidAmerican Orthopaedic Association, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Academy of Pediatrics national conferences. Dr. Razzano is a member of the American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Ohio Osteopathic Association, and the International Cartilage Repair Society, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Razzano has completed an ACGME certified orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Cincinnati under Dr. Timothy Kremchek. During his time in Cincinnati he served on the medical staff for the Cincinnati Reds, and as the team physician for Morehead State University and Princeton High School. He is married to his wife, Suzy, who is a Physical Education Teacher and Certified Yoga instructor.
