Full Job Description
A professional position with responsibilities related to the delivery of care services within the respective rehab discipline. Key elements of the positions involve evaluation, treatment, supervision, documentation and training. Work settings is outpatient services. The position is key in the accomplishment of organizational objectives. May require travel between clinics.

- Therapy Aides
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors, Master’s and/or Doctorate Degree from an accredited program qualifying for license eligibility in the State of Ohio
- Current license or license eligible to practice respective discipline in the State of Ohio
- Articulate oral and written communications skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows guidelines and established practices.
- Adheres to the code of ethics of the respective discipline.
- Observes all regulations established by state licensing authority.
- Complies with licensing board renewal process.
- Follows all organizational policies and procedures (P&P).
- Adheres to Spectrum P&P.
- Performs evaluation services to Spectrum patients and/or clients.
- Responds to evaluation/screen requests per department requirements.
- Completes patient evaluations and establishes treatment plans as appropriate.
- Provides treatment services to Spectrum patients and/or clients and/or residents.
- Follows established individualized plan of care.
- Administers, assists, demonstrates and supervises treatment measures. Performs techniques, modalities, activities, exercises, and similar interventions as appropriate to respective discipline.
- Accomplishes and submits various types of written documentation and paperwork per department requirements.
- Completes written documentation of evaluations, plans of care progress notes, monthly summaries, functional assessments, splints, physician’s orders and final discharge summaries/discharge notes. Completes other documentation as assigned. Uses currently accepted terminology and phraseology per discipline and regulatory bodies.
- Completes all required worksheets, grids and logs summarizing services rendered.
- Reports in/out times in the automated time & attendance system and completes Spectrum Payroll requirements daily.
- Submits documentation per Spectrum and department requirements.
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of patient records by established deadlines.
- Submits required documentation of employee credentials to Spectrum by due dates. Retains copies for personal records. Immediately assists client organization regarding credentials needed for surveys and inspections.
- Promotes a positive, professional image of Spectrum Orthopaedics via communications and relations development.
- Represents Spectrum Orthopaedics in a caring, courteous manner to all patients, clients, co-workers and visitors.
- Confers with assigned patients and their families as needed.
- Provides information related to evaluation and plan of care.
- Assists in the development of public relations and business development programs as assigned.
- Communicates and consults with physician and other allied health professionals regarding cases as needed.
- Functions in an interdisciplinary team to plan and carry out appropriate therapeutic programs. Promotes a team approach to rehab.
- Attends meetings as required by client organization and Spectrum Orthopaedics.
- Supervises other staff.
- Clinically supervises licensed assistants regarding patient progress.
- Reviews and collaborates with licensed assistants weekly or more frequently.
- Updates plan-of care as necessary.
- Supervises supportive personnel in therapy rooms & departments
- Delegates/assigns patients to licensed assistants as appropriate.
- Practices and promotes safe work habits and work environments.
- Monitors therapy activities and immediate areas to allow for safe, efficient and organized delivery of therapy services.
- Maintains all equipment and supplies in safe working order. Orders repairs/replacements as needed.
- Ensures all rehab work areas are organized and neat.
- Practices and promotes hand washing/health and safety techniques related to infection control/universal precautions.
- Develops own and other’s knowledge, skills and abilities in rehab and job-related administrative skills.
- Maintains and improves skills through various continuing education programs meeting or exceeding Ohio licensure requirements.
- Supervises students as clinical instructor in selected assignments.
- Trains and educates patients, clients, family members and colleagues in area of expertise. Promotes knowledge and understanding of rehab’s role and potential. Serves as a reference source within respective discipline.
- Participates in in-services and quality assurance projects to upgrade overall delivery of rehabilitative services.
- Ensures confidentiality of patient, operational and Spectrum Orthopaedics business information.
- Maintains confidentiality of all protected health information (PHI) in any form.
- Applies minimum necessary standard when viewing, creating, modifying or disclosing PHI.
- Protects Spectrum Orthopaedics business and management information in any form.
- Maintains confidentiality of all protected health information (PHI) in any form.
- Performs related duties as assigned by respective managers and directors.

Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time
We are currently looking for experienced certified or registered medical assistants for a fast-paced environment. Orthopaedic experience preferred. Full and part-time positions available. Must possess good computer and typing skills. EHR experience preferred. Experience with Allmeds EHR and Centricity PM software is preferred but not a requirement. Must have experience in the following areas:
- Greeting and rooming patients taking vitals
- Acting as scribe in room with physician
- Documenting visit with physician in EHR system
- Take patient history and reason why patient came to see physician
- Entering orders/prescriptions/testing in EHR system
- E-scribing prescriptions/calling in prescriptions to pharmacies
- Assisting patients and physicians
- Drawing up injections
- Educating and instructing patients regarding treatment administered
- Maintain and set up patient rooms
- Return phone calls to patients
- Staple and suture removal
- Minor dressing changes
- Casting/splinting and DME experience beneficial but not required
- Surgery scheduling experience beneficial

Spectrum Orthopaedics Inc. is a self-contained Orthopaedic medical facility. Offering a complete diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation services for individuals with the diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system.
Job Overview:
- Perform MRI examinations of all types, as directed by physicians.
- Obtain complete patient/implant history for safety requirements.
- Obtain lab work information to ensure appropriate creatinine levels for contrast studies and administers contrast agents with documentation in the EMR with anticipation of the potential for adverse reactions.
- Apply independent judgment to produce studies of excellent quality, confirming quality with radiologist, and reporting any routine protocol changes to administrator and co-workers.
- Assist with the scheduling of patients to ensure timeliness of exam and compliance with contrast policies.
- All other duties as assigned.
Background and Experience
- Associates Degree of Science in Radiological Technology required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & AED training required.
- One to two (1-2) years MR experience preferred.
- Experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice management system is required.
- Alternate weekend rotation (Saturday’s only).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once and remain calm and compassionate.
- Great interpersonal skills with sound judgment, maturity, and an ability to establish good rapport with patients, physicians, and staff.
- Ability to deal with patients, physicians and staff with tact and diplomacy.
